Where Acceptance Meets the Field
Our Soccer League continues to be one of our most impactful programs, recently sponsored by Councilman David Carr, whose passion and commitment have elevated this event. David’s sponsorship marked the beginning of what he calls the Sunday Morning Sports Series, an initiative designed to create consistent, inclusive weekend programming for families across Staten Island.
Soccer offers a low barrier to entry and high enjoyment, making it an ideal sport for families with children and young adults with disabilities. Our league provides a judgment free environment where players can learn, play, and grow at their own pace.
The program begins with instruction and skill development, then transitions into guided gameplay led by our professional instructors. Participants receive custom uniforms, enjoy music from our on site DJ, and play at the beautiful Moore Catholic field, generously donated for our use. The facility is truly state of the art, and we are deeply grateful to Moore Catholic’s Athletic Director for making this possible.
The season ends with a Championship Day celebration featuring trophies, music, and joy all around. Many players use this league as a stepping stone into other programs, helping them stay active and socially connected.
Thank You to Our Partners and Volunteers
Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to Councilman David Carr, Moore Catholic, our volunteer coaches, parents, and board for making this program possible each season.
