The COMPASS Program Director at P.S. 44 is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and daily operation of the COMPASS after-school program. The Director ensures that the program provides a safe, structured, engaging, and high-quality environment for students while meeting all contractual, compliance, staffing, enrollment, and reporting requirements.
The Program Director will oversee program staff, coordinate with school leadership, manage family communication, supervise student activities, and ensure that the program supports academic growth, social-emotional development, enrichment, recreation, and positive youth development.

Program Leadership & Daily Operations
The COMPASS Director will manage the day-to-day operations of the after-school program at P.S. 44, including student arrival and dismissal, staff coverage, activity schedules, attendance, supplies, safety protocols, and overall program flow.
The Director will ensure that programming is age-appropriate, engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the goals of the COMPASS model, including academic support, enrichment, physical activity, arts, leadership development, and social-emotional learning.
