The Integrated Athletic Initiative

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL LEAGUE

The Integrated Athletic Initiative’s Baseball and Softball programs proudly brought together athletes of all abilities for an unforgettable season of learning, growth, and fun.

Our Baseball and Softball Clinic at Amity Little League and our Baseball and Softball League at Mid Island Little League welcomed beginner level athletes and focused on skill development, confidence building, teamwork and sportsmanship, and most importantly having fun in a supportive setting.

Athletes participated in structured instructional stations covering hitting, pitching, catching, and base running, followed by live gameplay experiences that allowed them to put their skills into action in a pressure free, encouraging atmosphere.

Players were grouped by age and ability to ensure every athlete felt comfortable, supported, and successful on the field. Smiles, high fives, and proud moments filled every session as our athletes showed incredible effort, progress, and heart.

This program truly reflected our mission using sports to bridge the gap between underserved, special needs, and mainstream youth while building confidence, self esteem, and community.

Program Benefits

Skill Development

Athletes learn the fundamentals of baseball and softball including hitting, throwing and catching, pitching, base running, and game awareness. All instruction is adapted to meet athletes where they are developmentally and physically.

Confidence and Self Esteem

Our programs are designed to celebrate effort over results, create success moments for every athlete, and build pride, independence, and belief in their abilities. Every player leaves the field feeling accomplished.

Social and Emotional Growth

Athletes develop teamwork skills, communication skills, sportsmanship, and friendships and positive peer interactions. They learn how to be part of a team in a supportive, judgment free environment.

Safe and Inclusive Environment

The program provides trained staff and volunteers, a structured and predictable format, positive reinforcement based coaching, and no pressure, no tryouts, no cuts. Everyone plays.

Family and Community Impact

Families experience a welcoming community, a program designed specifically for their child’s success, and a place where their athlete is celebrated, supported, and understood.

Mission Driven Programming

The Integrated Athletic Initiative programs are 100 percent focused on inclusion, serve athletes of all abilities, use sports as a tool for life skills, confidence, and empowerment, and are made possible through generous sponsors and donors.
